| The first CD in Leo Records catalogue by the criminally underrated great trumpet player Herb Robertson who influenced a lot of trumpeters including Dave Douglas. "Double Infinitives" is: Steve Swell and Bob Hovey on trombones, Hans Tammen on endangered guitar, Chris Lough on bass and Tom Sayek on drums. The music is indeed "for long attention spans", for the duration of five pieces is over 70 minutes. |
ARTISTS Herb Robertson (trumpet, sopranot posthorn, saxpiece, bonepiece, whistles, voice, toys, bells, melodica, assorted mutes); Steve Swell (trombone, cymbalophone); Bob Hovey (trombone, percussion); Hans Tammen (endangered guitar); Chris Lough (bass); Tom Sayek (drums, percussion) |
